Experience
Brian grew up on the Virginia Peninsula, attending Poquoson High School and The Governor's School for Science and Technology. After graduating from Harvard in 2010, he spent the summer working as an SAT tutor at Hampton Roads Educational Consulting. That fall, he moved to New York City to pursue improv comedy and landed a great day job - working as a PSAT, SAT, and ACT tutor for an elite test prep company in the New York suburbs. After working there part-time for the four years that he performed live improv comedy on house teams at the Upright Citizens Brigade, he enjoyed tutoring so much that he segued to full-time work. Over the last eleven years he's helped hundreds of students make major improvements in their standardized test scores. He also tutors a variety of academic subjects at the high school and college level.
Improv comedy is a form of comedy where quick-thinking and teamwork are essential, and Brian makes sure to bring the same focus, fun, and positive energy to all of his tutoring sessions.
